Effectiveness of the Creighton Model

The effectiveness of the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System has been extensively studied.

There is a published analysis combining data from five separate studies including a total of 1,876 couples and more than 17,130 cycles. The method effectiveness —meaning use without any use error—for avoiding pregnancy over a 12-month period was found to be 99.5%.

The use effectiveness for the same period was 96.8% and has shown a consistent upward trend over time. The use effectiveness takes into account possible user-related factors such as missed observations, lack of evening observations, or inaccuracies in recording and charting.

Ongoing guidance and follow-up with a trained Creighton Model practitioner significantly contributes to improved effectiveness of the method.
